Summer 2019 - RCKC

DCPL and Royal Canal Kayak Club are delighted to announce the 2nd year for their summer league from June - August 2019 in the RCKC clubhouse
The league will be managed by RCKC as a sub-committee of DCPL.
Entries for DCPL SUMMER 2019 are now open - First come, first served!
 
This is a stand-alone league, there is no continuity between indoor/outdoor leagues.
 
Competition format
Location:  RCKC, Royal Canal Ave, Ashtown, Dublin
When: Wednesday nights for 11 weeks, starting June 5th
Time: 7pm - 10pm (first game 7pm, last game 9.30pm)
Games will be 10mins per half - game slots are 30mins
Teams will be 5 a side
Format: Div2 - 6 teams, Div3 - 6 teams
Team Scheduling:  Each team will play 2 games in a night, and will play fortnightly.
What about my holidays? Each team may re-schedule between effected teams directly, the League will provide 1 additional week to cover any required re-schedules. 
How many Games? you will play a total of 10 games. 
Players: Must be CI registered & validation of CI cards will be expected
Rules: Usual DCPL rules apply as documented on the website
Every team is expected to perform Duty/Referee as timetabled with each team providing 2 qualified referees 

Entry Cost : €120 (€100 per team + €20 NCPC levy)

Entries / Timeline: 
Enter your team through the DCPL website - you must login and press the red Register Now button on the right hand side. When entering your team, select what division you *think* you should be in. This summer league is new, so when all entries are in we will review, and if needed teams will be moved up/down to keep the competition enjoyable.

Entries should be in by May 10th
Once entries are reviewed and if there is sufficient interest then we will confirm your entry.
Once your team is confirmed, payment should be made by May 24th. Teams who do not pay before this date will be removed from the league.

The referee can impose any combination of the following sanctions for illegal-play depending on the severity and/or frequency of offences being penalised. The referee may send a player off the playing area for varying periods depending on the severity and/or frequency of offence being penalised.
